St Peter’s is one of 48 Episcopal Churches in the Diocese of Vermont.
Since the retirement of the Rev. L. Jeannette McKnight in 1995, the congregation has been served by “supply clergy” and "lay persons" and the ministry of the parish is guided by the Vestry.
St Peter's has been the home of the Lyndonville Area Ecumenical Food Shelf which serves neighboring communities, since 1996. It had its beginning in 1981, when the newly ordained Deacon, prepared Thanksgiving boxes for the people in the area. In a few years, it became the Ecumenical Council’s project, supported by all the local churches.
St Peter's has connected with Partners for Sacred Places, and is in the process of evaluating, and preparing to make many costly repairs to the building. In the near future, it will be asking for help in completing the restoration of this historical building that continues to serve not only its parishioners, but the wider area as well.
Faith Is a conscious decision to trust what is invisible, and not to merely trust, but to act according to that trust.
Live your faith out loud, speaking and living the message of Christ for all to see.
1 Thessalonians 1:8
Is sacred text, food for the soul, God-breathed. Our inspiration. A path to know Jesus Christ.
Community is all about people, loving one another, working together, and praising together. Reveling in our common love of Christ. Everyone belongs, and everyone is welcome.
